Hundreds of Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) Diploma III program students took part in Field Work Practices (PKL). The briefing took place in Ganesha III Room, Undiksha Rectorate, on Thursday (6/12/2018). Through this program, students from various study programs are encouraged to become a reliable and competitive generation.
Head of the Center for Competency and Career Development, Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LPPPM) Undiksha, who is also Chair of the Committee, Dr. I Wayan Mudana, M.Si said that the students underwent PKL in a number of locations, according to their field. Not only in the region but also abroad. “There were 173 participants from nine study programs,” he said. This program not only implements the knowledge gained in college. It is more important than that to provide an experience that can be used as a provision when entering the world of work.
Meanwhile, the Chair of LPPPM Undiksha, Prof. Dr. A.A.I.N Marhaeni, M.A., emphasized that participants in this program must be able to show a good image. This is not only important for individuals, but also for institutions where they receive education. “We want this program to run well. Students must maintain their attitude. This is what is important,” she stressed.
She added that to support this program, including KKN and PPL, Undiksha provides quite large funding subsidies. This is not done by all universities. Therefore, it is hoped that these students can truly show quality and become competent people according to their field. “We encourage the output of this program to produce reliable and competitive graduates. “Moreover, competition is getting tougher, including in the industrial revolution 4.0,” she said.
Still related to improving the quality of human resources, this institution also continues to innovate. One of them is providing students with entrepreneurial education by presenting speakers who have been successful in their fields. “This is often done to motivate students,” added Marhaeni. (hms)
