The committee has completed the administrative selection of candidates for rector of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha). In accordance with Undiksha Senate Regulation Number 5 of 2018, all prospective candidates are declared to have met the requirements. “Administrative selection of prospective chancellor candidates has been carried out and now is the deadline for submitting prospective candidate files to the Senate. There are only five prospective candidates and all of them are from Undiksha. Four people submitted (registration files to the committee) directly, and one person indirectly. We reported all of this to the Senate. “In accordance with the regulations, all the requirements were met by the five prospective candidates,” said the Head of the Regional Election Committee, Prof. Dr. Nyoman Dantes, on Monday (10/12/2018). After the submission of the files, the next process is handled by the Senate. “The next process is in the Senate. “No longer on the committee,” added the former Chancellor of Undiksha for two terms.
Chairman of the Undiksha Senate, Prof. Dr. Nyoman Sudiana, M.Pd., said that the announcement of the results of the selection of candidates for chancellor was scheduled for December 14. After that, screening was carried out through the delivery of the vision and mission which was scheduled for January 8, 2018. “When conveying the vision and mission, the senate, from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and other invitees, especially the academic community,” he explained.
After that, it continues with the assessment and determination stages of the chancellor candidate. “From these five, we will first discuss three. “After that, it will be submitted to the center, then the election will continue,” he said. In selecting the number one person at the university which has a Faculty of Medicine, it is hoped that the situation will remain conducive. “Until now it has been very conducive. “We maintained this atmosphere until the end,” he said.
Based on the data, the prospective chancellor, namely, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd who is still active as chancellor, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Pujawan, M.Kes., who still serves as Deputy Chancellor III, Dr. I Gusti Lanang Agung Parwata, S.Pd., M.Kes as Head of the Student Career and Entrepreneurship Development Unit, Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, S.Pd., M.Pd who is the Dean of the Technical and Vocational Faculty (FTK) and Prof. Dr. I Gede Astra Wesnawa, Chair of LPPM Undiksha.
