Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held consolidation and assistance in preparing credit figures for lecturers who proposed to head lecturers and professors, on Tuesday (15/1/2019). The event which took place in the Ganesha III Room of the Rectorate presented guest speaker Prof. Dr. Sutikno, M.T (Central PAK Team), Mochamad Panji Pujasakti, M.T (Head of Sub-Directorate for Educator Careers) and Iwan Winardi, S.Pd (Head of Region II Educator Careers Section).
Undiksha Chancellor, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., said that head lecturers and professors are very important to support university grades. Therefore, strengthening and mentoring is very important to implement. “This is important for PhD lecturers. “To increase the number of associate professors and professors, Undiksha has also formed a special accompanying team,” he said when opening the event.
Especially for the number of professors, he continued, it was still below what was required by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. Therefore, the largest state university in North Bali continues to make efforts to improve. “There are 43 professors. This year 7 people retired. So there are only 36 people left. “We want to have new professors this year so that the number can increase,” he said.
Chasing this target, a number of lecturers have submitted proposals. However, not everything has gone smoothly. Undiksha also continues to carry out evaluations. It is hoped that the presence of this resource person can provide a solution for this. “Hopefully through this meeting, we can find solutions and strategies so we can pass,” he said. The resource person, Mochamad Panji Pujasakti, said that in order to become an associate professor or professor, you need to pay attention to a number of things, starting from administrative flow to special requirements, including the research carried out.
