Singaraja – Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) was visited by the National Development University (UPN) “Veteran” Yogyakarta, on Tuesday (22/1/2019). This is for a comparative study related to financial management, assets, and Human Resources (HR).
During this visit, the group was led directly by the Chancellor, Dr. Mohamad Irhas Effendi, M.S. From Undiksha, Vice Chancellor I, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, M.Sc., Deputy Chancellor II, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., and Deputy Chancellor III, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Pujawan, M.Kes., accompanied by the Head of the General and Financial Bureau, Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H.
Irhas Effendi expressed that the visit was an effort to improve the quality of governance of his university. It is hoped that many things can be adopted from Undiksha. One of the things that is being questioned is the issue of providing remuneration for civil servants and contract workers. “We want to know about financial management and human resources at Undiksha to serve as an illustration,” he said.
Vice-Rector II Undiksha, Prof. Lasmawan said that financial and asset management is a serious concern and refers to the rules. This has led the university, which already has a Faculty of Medicine, to successfully achieve an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Indonesian Financial Audit Agency (BPK-RI) three times in a row from 2016 to 2018. “We continue to strive to improve management,” he said.
It was further stated that specifically for employee remuneration, this has been running since Undiksha held the status of a Public Service Agency (BLU). The amount varies, according to the grade that has been determined. Meanwhile, for contract workers, this has only been running since 2019 with an average of IDR 400 thousand per month. Of course, this policy requires improving the quality of performance. (hms)
