Tuesday, (12/9) the government issued a Joint Decree (SKB) of the Minister of Religion (Menag), the Minister of Manpower (Menaker), and the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Number: 855 of 2023, Number: 3 of 2023, and Number: 4 of 2023 concerning National Holidays and Shared Leave in 2024. The issuance of the SKB for the Three Ministers was carried out in the context of efficiency and effectiveness of working days as well as providing guidelines for government and private agencies in implementing national holidays and collective leave in 2024. How many holidays will there be in 2024?
Based on the SKB, the government decided that the national holiday for collective leave would be 27 days, consisting of 17 days of national holiday and 10 days of collective leave.
Mentioned in the SKB are work units/organizational units/institutions/companies whose function is to provide direct services to the community at the central and/or regional levels that cover the interests of the wider community, such as hospitals, community health centers, institutions that provide telecommunications, electricity, and water services. drinking, firefighting, security and order, banking, transportation, and other similar work units/organizational units/institutions/companies, to regulate the assignment of employees/employees/workers on national holidays and collective leave in 2024.
“The implementation of collective leave as intended reduces the annual leave rights of employees/employees/workers in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations that apply to each work unit/organizational unit/institution/company,” reads the SKB.

Quoted from the kemenag.go.id page, it was stated that next the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform will prepare a Draft Presidential Decree regarding Joint Leave for ASN Employees in 2024 and prepare regulations for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN).
“And the regulations regarding the implementation of holidays and collective leave in the private sector will be further regulated by the Minister of Manpower,” he said.
It was further stated that the implementation of collective leave for state civil servants (ASN) was carried out in accordance with the provisions of statutory regulations. Meanwhile, the implementation of collective leave for private institutions/institutions is regulated by their respective leaders.
“This joint decision comes into force on the date of stipulation,” said the SKB.
