On that occasion, Jampel expressed his hope after holding the highest academic position in his scientific oration entitled “Harmonious Leadership in the Post-Massification Era of Higher Education”. He emphasized that in order to transform into a third-generation university, harmonious leadership is needed. This is seen as being able to solve future problems as a result of the industrial revolution to changes in people’s behavior both politically, socially, and economically. economy. “How to make this world stable and sustainable, then leadership in harmony is one of the answers,” he added.

Harmony leadership plays a role in motivating staff to achieve common goals based on harmony with God, and with others, and also taking part in preserving the environment. “Here, the environment is no longer dredged for wealth for human progress and convenience, but also maintained and preserved to provide happiness” he concluded.
He emphasized that third-generation universities must be able to create happiness. Therefore research, education, and learning are not enough to just stop at Scopus (accredited research journal, ed), it is not enough just to downstream products, but how to create happiness for society and the environment. The 60-year-old Chancellor also said that the challenge of future leaders for the quality of higher education lies in their integrity. “As a leader, the union of body, soul, and spirit is very important.
