Singaraja– The Language Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) does not only provide services for the academic community. As a public service, he is also entrusted with filling out training in government agencies. One of them is the Singaraja State Treasury Service Office (KPPN), 12 March 2020.
The head of the Singaraja KPPN, Jordan, explained that this training was one of the efforts to improve the competence of Human Resources (HR) as envisioned by the Directorate General of Treasury. “This is our responsibility to society. We continue to strive to improve human resource competence, especially in English proficiency,” he explained.
The Head of UPT Undiksha Language, Putu Ayu Prabawati Sudana, S.Pd., M.Hum., said that the training was filled by Ida Ayu Made Istri Utami, S.Pd. M.Pd. “We were asked to provide training. Previously, the KPPN had also done this. The material provided is general English knowledge,” he said. He hopes this program can provide benefits to the public as part of improving service quality. A similar program has also been running at the Parama Sidhi Public Hospital and also the Buleleng Police. “Hopefully this kind of cooperation can continue,” she said.
Meanwhile, specifically for internal services, UPT Bahasa organizes foreign, Indonesian, and Balinese language courses and also accepts translation. “For Indonesian and Balinese, the participants are from abroad. We also have TOEFL ITP test programs and English proficiency tests, as well as TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC/UKBI test preparation courses,” she concluded. (hms)
