Singaraja- The synergy between Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) and Kodim 1609/Buleleng to contribute to efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the community continues. This was demonstrated by the disbursement of aid in the form of sinks at the Bebetin Village Market and Sudaji Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency, Saturday (16/5/2020).
The presentation was made by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., accompanied by Vice Chancellor III, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd with Dandim 1609/ Buleleng, Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Windra Lisrianto. The assistance is expected to provide benefits to the community. “There is quite a lot of activity in the market. So it is necessary to have facilities aimed at preventing Covid-19, “said the Chancellor of Jampel.
Undiksha as an academic institution is committed to supporting the prevention of the spread of the virus that has claimed many lives. This commitment is strengthened by synergy with the local government and other agencies, one of which is Kodim 1609/Buleleng which also knows the conditions in society during this pandemic. “The Kodim provides information on which areas need assistance with facilities. That’s our response. This is our synergy. We want all people to be healthy,” he continued.
It is hoped that the prevention of Covid-19 will receive support from the community by implementing protocols according to regulations, in the form of using masks and other healthy lifestyles and maintaining social distancing. “Besides being able to take care of ourselves, we also need to take care of others,” added Jampel.
The Dandim, Windra Lisrianto fully supports the movement carried out by Undiksha. Moreover, the assistance that is distributed provides benefits to the community and is right on target. He stressed his commitment to continue to work together in an effort to solve problems in society. “Of course, we really support this,” he said.
On that occasion, he also directly provided education to the public to raise awareness about implementing the Covid-19 prevention protocol. “We hope that all people are aware to implement it. Must remember to wear a mask. It’s for health,” he said.
The disbursement of this assistance received a positive response. Headman of Sudaji, I Made Ngurah Fajar Kurniawan stated that it can be useful for the community, especially those who are active in the market. “We thank you for this assistance,” he said. He conveyed that the protocol for preventing the spread of Covid-19 continues to be disseminated to residents, including the distribution of masks. “We have taken preventive measures and are continuing to improve. Hopefully, our citizens are always in good health,” he added.
Undiksha’s synergy with Kodim 1609/Buleleng did not only take place this time. Previously, the handover of sink assistance was also carried out in the Gerokgak District Area and mask assistance for residents in Pegayaman Village, Buleleng Regency. Apart from that, Undiksha specifically also handed over personal protective equipment to medical personnel in Buleleng Regency and distributed masks to a number of markets in Singaraja City.
