The inauguration was witnessed by the Deputy Chancellor, Head of the General Affairs and Finance Bureau, and Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, Planning, and Cooperation Bureau. All wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Adi Yuniarta is believed to be the Dean of the Faculty of Economics replacing the previous official, Prof. Dr. Naswan Suharsono, M.Pd.
After the inauguration, the Chancellor of Undiksha, I Nyoman Jampel said that Undiksha continues to improve quality and increase competitiveness, both at the national and international levels. This requires the support of all faculties, including the relatively young Faculty of Economics. “Undiksha excels because of its glorious faculty. This must be demonstrated by all faculties,” he said.
Through this position, Adi Yuniarta is also asked to be able to continue programs that are still pending, maintain, and continue to foster a conducive campus atmosphere. Besides that, it also develops the academic atmosphere and continues to produce the best research and innovation works. Apart from being useful and directly felt by the public, this work is also very necessary in order to increase the acquisition of publications both nationally and internationally in order to support the achievement of the competitiveness of this institution or nation. No less important, there must also be an increase in study program accreditation. “Hopefully we can maintain our commitment and work together to realize Undiksha’s Vision to become a superior university based on Tri Hita Karana in Asia in 2045. I also ask for support from all parties to work together in building this institution,” he said.
Adi Yuniarta acknowledged that university development cannot be separated from faculty support. Therefore, he who was elected by acclamation stated that he was ready to make breakthroughs related to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely education and teaching, research, and community service. “Hopefully in 2024 we can maximize the expectations of the Chancellor so that we can make a big contribution to this university,” he explained.
The former Deputy Dean I of the Undiksha Faculty of Economics further stated that the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education at FE had been going well and the previous leader had prepared a foundation for development. However, in the midst of dynamic development, there need to be adjustments to create excellence in faculty attributes. This is not only focused on improving the doctoral qualifications of teaching staff but also on working on higher quality products. “These products can relate to education in the form of preparing learning tools, as well as research and community service,” he said.
Improving the quality of graduates is also a serious concern. His party is preparing a learning mechanism that is more flexible but of good quality. This is in anticipation of facing dynamics, such as the Covid-19 pandemic. Besides that, it also prepares an adaptive curriculum and focuses students more on activities that can improve competency.
