Singaraja- Dozens of Candidates for Civil Servants (CPNS) selection for the 2019 fiscal year who have passed the Basic Competency Selection (SKD) took part in the Field Competency Selection (SKB) at the University of Education Ganesha (Undiksha) which started, Monday (21/9/2020). The selection, which lasted until Wednesday (23/9/2020), was carried out virtually.
In this selection, participants took an interview test and a micro-teaching test, with two examiners each from Undiksha, according to their scientific fields. The implementation also adheres to the Covid-19 prevention protocol. The head of the committee, I Made Karunia, S.T., M.Kom., explained that the 78 selection participants would compete for 32 formations, all of which were for lecturers. They will also take the Computer Based Test (CBT) on September 29, 2020. “In the SKB, as stipulated by the central government, there are three sub-steps for technical implementation, namely the interview test, micro-teaching, and CBT,” he explained.
In more detail, the formation is presented for various scientific fields that will be placed in certain study programs in several faculties. At the Faculty of Economics, the scientific fields sought are economics, accounting, and management education. The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences consists of education in sociology, (pure) sociology, social studies, libraries, and information systems. Faculty of Languages and Arts, the formation is Mandarin and Japanese. At the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the formation is intended for applicants in the fields of mathematics, education in biology, food chemistry, physics, marine cultivation, and aquaculture. Faculty of Engineering and Vocational, its formation consists of information systems, computer science, education research and evaluation, and tourism. Faculty of Sports and Health, its formation for nursing and midwifery. Finally, for the Faculty of Medicine, with the formation of specialist doctors. “The educational qualifications of these participants are also doctoral degrees,” said Karunia who also serves as Head of Undiksha’s Personnel Section.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., emphasized that the implementation of the SKB fully follows the policies of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Undiksha is only the executor and prepares the Human Resources (HR) involved in the selection. “For the interview test and micro-teaching, according to the results of the meeting, it was decided to involve elements of leadership and those who have competence in the field of psychology as well as those who already have capabilities according to the field,” he said.
He also conveyed that this selection took place entirely online, including sending the results of the assessment to the center. “For the things that were asked, the testers also just found out when they just entered the application. We didn’t know beforehand. We are strict with the regulations determined by the center,” said Jampel. Through this selection, Undiksha is expected to really get lecturers according to their needs, both in terms of competence and insight. “I believe with this test, that the lecturer’s input really fits the needs,” he said. He added that the implementation of the SKB also received monitoring from the Ombudsman and the police. This is to avoid any policy violations. “With monitoring, if anything happens, we can be notified and reminded,” added Jampel. (hms)
