Singaraja- Entering the 76th year of the Republic of Indonesia’s independence, a number of problems are still being faced by the community, such as the welfare sector and the education sector. This condition was exacerbated by the presence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance, and Human Resources (PAK-SDM) Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., invited the Undiksha academic community, especially the young Ganesha to jointly take a role in the handling effort. “I face Undiksha’s young Ganesha, including the Undiksha academic community, at least they can become heroes for themselves. If possible be a hero to society. Because of the heroic spirit that we should manage,” he asked Saturday (14/8/2021).
He further conveyed, no matter how great a leader is and how many resources a nation has, it still needs support from the community in handling problems, including the Covid-19 pandemic. That is, not only relying on the government with various existing limitations. It is hoped that this can be done by the Undiksha academic community, who at least become heroes for themselves and if possible for the people in the environment where they develop. “What does it mean to be a hero to oneself? At least we are disciplined and comply with the rules. Because of this pandemic, we don’t need to depend on other people if we can develop self-discipline,” he stressed.
The Chairperson of the Deputy Rector II Forum of PTNs throughout Indonesia invited the Undiksha academic community not to surrender to this condition, let alone give up. “Young Ganesha should be a pioneer for the environment in which he grows and develops, not a looser or a loser,” he said.
There are a number of things that he thinks young Ganesha can do, namely, become an innovative generation. Don’t be the generation that it is. At least be able to create something that makes yourself comfortable living life and if possible to create something that can be used or applied by others. This becomes part of the creativity of young people for their environment. “So don’t just be silent, don’t just be a spectator during this pandemic. Moreover, watched because of his residence, “he said.
Delivered further, young Ganesha also needs to optimize their own potential and move to spread good seeds. Besides being able to play yourself as an agent of change, to betrend setter, as well as being able to become a successor or convey good government policies to the wider community. “It’s not just being a critic who is disconnected from the logic of truth without a way out, which has grown a lot. Indeed, every policy, whatever it is, taken by any country, by any leader in any era, there must be a weak point. There is no complete policy, but let’s look more at the advantages and good meanings of a policy, not at the weak points that may still accompany it,” he said. (hms)
