Singaraja- The matic kumbung innovation, the work of students at the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) not only won international achievements but also won second place again at the Mandalika Essay Competition which took place on March 25-27 2022.
The Undiksha team consisted of Kadek Yuda Wiryanatha from the electrical engineering education study program and Kadek Reda Setiawan Suda who is also an alumni of the electrical engineering education study program. In the event that was held by the Young Nusantara Community with the Rizki Prima Sentosa Foundation, the Undiksha team had to compete with dozens of teams from various universities in Indonesia.
Wiryanatha explained that Matic Kumbung’s work was an innovative device for controlling the temperature and humidity of oyster mushrooms as a solution and innovation in agriculture. “Seeing the problems faced by oyster mushroom farmers, we are interested in making innovations that can help farmers so that they can increase the income of oyster mushroom farmers,” he said, Thursday (31/3/2022).
This student who has successfully participated in competitions at the national and international levels several times admitted that his interest in participating in the competition was of course because he saw the potential of the tools he had. “Because I saw the potential of the tools I had to help mushroom farmers and could be included in the competition, I thought why not compete,” he explained.
This student from Ubud, Gianyar admitted that the success he achieved was inseparable from the support of his supervisor Dr. Nyoman Santiyadnya, S.Si., M.T. “Surely grateful and happy to get the achievements achieved,” he explained.
This student achievement adds to the long list of achievements achieved by Undiksha students. Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., gave his appreciation for this achievement. “We really appreciate the enthusiasm of students who are enthusiastic about participating in competitions, let alone being able to win,” he said.
He hopes that this achievement can motivate other students to take part in the competition. “Achievement is not only important for the campus but also for the students themselves,” he added. (hms)
