Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is believed to be one of the implementers of the 2022 In-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG-Daljab) academic selection, along with eleven other tertiary institutions with the status of Educational Personnel Education Institutions (LPTK).
Facing this selection, the Undiksha implementing committee made solid preparations through an online coordination meeting, Monday (4/4/2022) evening. On this occasion, PPG Undiksha Coordinator, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd., explained that Undiksha as an LPTK was involved for the first time in the academic selection activities for PPG participants. Unlike before, which only accepted students from the central government to take part in PPG. “So this is the first time we are implementing academic selection,” he said.
Delivered further, nationally there are 390,231 participants who have passed the administrative selection. In particular, there were 3,944 participants in the academic selection at Undiksha. The selection will be carried out in five stages which are scheduled for April 2022. “Each stage will last for two days and there will be two sessions every day. The number of participants per session is 986 people,” he explained.
The selection process, said Nurjaya, was similar to the previous year’s PPG knowledge test, namely based on domicile. This means that participants do not come to Undiksha, but take part in the selection at their respective homes or places that have internet access. This selection is strictly supervised and there are various conditions that must be followed by participants. “The supervisors involved in this selection have been involved in PPG before. Already have experience. But we are still making maximum preparations so that the selection goes smoothly,” he added.
At this coordination meeting, the Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation Affairs Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. In his direction, he said that in recent years, Undiksha had been trusted to carry out the PPG program, both in positions and pre-services. This experience can be used as a lesson for the implementation of this year’s academic selection. “Hopefully this year we can carry out PPG better than before. Even though previously it was running optimally and running smoothly,” he hoped.
He said this selection must continue to prioritize integrity, transparency, and security. This is very important and is part of the effort to create increasingly superior teachers in the future. (hms)
