Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) received a visit from Manado State University (Unima), Thursday (21/4/2022). The visit was also filled with the signing of the collaboration on the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The Unima delegation was led directly by the Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Deitje Adolfien Katuuk, M.Pd. His presence was received by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. Both were accompanied by vice-chancellors, deans, bureaus, and related staff. On this occasion also attended the women’s dharma administrators from each university.
The meeting which took place in Room Ganesha III of the Rectorate was very warm and filled with sharing about the development of each university. Unima Chancellor, Prof. Deitje stated that the collaboration with Undiksha, which both have the status of Education Personnel Education Institutions (LPTK), has been established for a long time. Seeing the existing developments, according to him there needs to be strengthening efforts. He conveyed that Unima was proposing to become a Public Service Agency State University (PTN-BLU). For this, his party asked for assistance from Undiksha.
Another thing that he thinks is important to strengthen is collaboration in the implementation of Free Learning and Free Campus (MBKM) which is a policy of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). Likewise with the implementation of key performance indicators, including those concerning the dharma of higher education in the form of research and community service. “Tri dharma of higher education, in teaching we also really need experts to become teaching practitioners at Unima. Likewise with research and community service,” she said.
Meanwhile, Undiksha Chancellor, Prof. Jampel positively welcomed this collaboration. He said, in principle in tertiary institutions, especially LPTKs, they must carry out more intense and better cooperation in order to succeed in the policies of the ministries, including MBKM. “Because to fulfill ministry policies related to MBKM, we must collaborate with other universities. Mainly with Unima in addition to other universities as well as the business world and the industrial world,” he said.
Through this collaboration, it is expected to improve the quality of each university which in turn has an impact on the results of graduates who are increasingly competent, competitive, and superior. “What is superior is in the sense that when our graduates enter society, there is no more awkwardness, and can live creatively in an uncertain world,” he concluded.
