Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) received an audience from the Buleleng National Sports Committee (KONI), Tuesday (21/6/2022). This meeting discussed the use of sports facilities owned by Undiksha in the XVth Bali Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) which will take place in November 2022. Undiksha as an educational institution is ready to provide support.
At the meeting which took place in the Rectorate building, the Undiksha Chancellor was represented by the Head of the Academic, Student Affairs, Planning and Cooperation Bureau, Drs. I Made Yasa, M.Pd. The presence of KONI Buleleng was led directly by the Chairman, Ketut Wiratmaja, S.H.
On this occasion, Wiratmaja explained that the Joint Porprov was scheduled to take place from 20 to 27 November 2022. KONI Buleleng was appointed as the host for five sports, namely athletics, pool diving and open water diving, field tennis, takraw, and rock climbing. In its implementation, the sport of tennis and takraw requires the support of facilities from Undiksha which has a GOR at the Jinengdalem Campus, Buleleng District, and at the Central Campus on Jalan Udayana, Singaraja. “Therefore, we convey to Undiksha to be willing to give us two venues so that KONI Buleleng, the players who will compete later can work safely and comfortably,” he said.
In this Porprov, there were a number of Undiksha students as athletes who helped strengthen the Buleleng contingent. It is also hoped that this will receive support from the Undiksha leadership, both during the training period and during the competition.
Undiksha AKPK Bureau Head, I Made Yasa stated that Undiksha really supports the implementation of this Porprov, both in terms of infrastructure and personnel. “We really support this upcoming Porprov activity,” he said.
He also gave his appreciation for the participation of Undiksha students competing in this annual event. It is considered that this will add experience that can be used as a provision to take part in competitions at the regional to international levels. (hms)
