Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) again participated in a series of walking competitions to commemorate the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The competition that has been participated in is the 17 KM Adult Women category on August 10, 2022. In this prestigious competition, “Srikandi” Undiksha won second place.
This hike starts at Jalan Udayana, Singaraja City, to be precise in front of the Bhuana Patra Sports Center (GOR). This competition was attended by 35 teams from high schools and universities.
The route for this hike is a walk around Singaraja City and returns to finish at the Bhuana Patra Sports Hall. This event was warmly welcomed by the people of Singaraja City and the supporters of each contingent.
Undiksha with chest number 05 tries to show his best performance. Even though the weather was very hot, his enthusiasm was still burning and he managed to finish well and completely. Danton of the Undiksha contingent, Kadek Sintia Pratiwi, admitted that he was very proud to be able to take part in this competition because it could foster a spirit of struggle, a sense of unity and togetherness.
Facing this routine competition, preparations are made for about a month. The exercises take place almost every day and are filled with route checks. This is to ensure readiness when the race arrives.
Apart from the 17 KM adult female category, Undiksha also took part in the 45 KM adult male walking competition on August 13, 2022, starting in Celukan Bawang Village, Gerokgak District, and finishing at the Bhuna Patra Sports Hall. (hms)
