Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education students once again made achievements at the national level event. This time it comes from the Cotangen National Story Telling Competition which will take place at UIN Jakarta in June 2022.
In this event, Undiksha was represented by Athanasia Gusanto from the English Language Education (S1) study program by presenting the story The Legend of Roro Jonggrang. Through this event, Atha, as he is affectionately known, succeeded in becoming the Runner-Up II Champion.
Preparation for this event was carried out optimally. Time constraints became a challenge faced. This is because Atha not only carries out her obligations as a student but also teaches private lessons to help the family’s economy. Her busy schedule did not dampen her enthusiasm and interest in participating in the event. Under the guidance of Dr. Kadek Wirahuni, S.Pd. M.Pd., finally she was able to make achievements.
Her success in achieving this achievement was certainly welcomed by her, especially being able to represent Undiksha at the national level. In the future, she will continue to drive and improve his quality so that she can return to competition and make even more glorious achievements.
The student from Jakarta, who has lived in Singaraja, Bali for 6 years, said that her interest in participating in this event was inseparable from her interest and passion for acting, one of which is storytelling since she was in junior high school. “The more I come here, the more interested and interested I am in acting and storytelling this,” she explained.
for her, storytelling can be a medium to express and explore various expressions, such as expressions of sadness, happiness, anger, and so on. To hone her talent, she often participates in various similar events at the school, district, national and international levels. (hms)
