Badung– Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is again holding a National Innovative Research Seminar (Senari), Friday (16/9/2022). Through this, Undiksha encourages the birth of innovative research, especially those based on technology hyperconnected society era.
The 8th seminar which took place in Kuta, Badung Regency presented two speakers. First, from Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ni Ketut Supasti Dharmawan, S.H.,M.Hum., LL.M. He presented Legal Research material and the Relevance of His Method to the Hyperconnected Society Era: Lesson Learned Intellectual Property Law Research. The point made is that in intellectual property law research can use the socio-legal method. This method does not only mean that it is traditionally assisted by the social sciences, but also continuously opens itself to the development of interdisciplinary science, such as technology.
Second, from Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd. He presented material on the Digital Revolution, Globalization, and Localization (Challenges of Higher Education in Facing the Hyperconnected Society Era). He conveyed that the development of digital technology provides benefits for life, including research. On the other hand, technology can also have a bad impact, so it needs intelligence from researchers in its application.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M., conveyed this seminar as a space for researchers, both from Undiksha and from other tertiary institutions, to express ideas and disseminate research results to the public. “This is actually a benchmark to what extent Senari can be recognized by many participants,” he explained.
Delivered further, the seminar participants were not only from Undiksha but also from a number of other universities in Indonesia. “Participants came from 14 public and private universities, from Sabang to Merauke. This means that Senari has its own charm besides its implementation in Bali. Participants were also students. This is important for them to provide research understanding, especially for the final assignment,” he said.
There are five topics presented in the seminar, consisting of the fields of law, social humanities, education, health, and technology. “The more topics we can offer, of course, the more participants. That’s what we expected. It can accommodate research in all fields of science that we can help to publish,” he added.
Head of the Undiksha Research and Community Service Institute, Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, M.Kes., said that as an educational institution, Undiksha continues to encourage the implementation of innovative research. This is supported by budgeting policies and training. “We at Undiksha, research is an integral part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education,” he said.
The implementation of innovative research, he continued, is still faced with challenges, such as in building cooperation with the community, the business world, and the industrial world. “However, if it is related to current research, the dimensions are not enough with monodiscipline, it must be multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary. So if you want to succeed in terms of research, this collaboration must be increased, “he explained.
Specifically for the implementation of Senari, who represented the Chancellor opened the event hoping to provide opportunities for researchers to share ideas and disseminate their research results. (hms)
