Singaraja– Dozens of young doctors took part in clinical partnerships at the Main Teaching Hospital of the Undiksha Faculty of Medicine, namely the Buleleng Regional General Hospital (RSUD). The handover took place in a hospital classroom, Wednesday (23/2/2022).
At the event, the Chancellor of Undiksha was represented by the Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance, and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd. As many as 44 young doctors who have earned a bachelor’s degree in medicine at the Undiksha Faculty of Medicine were submitted and accepted by the Director of the Buleleng Hospital, dr. Putu Arya Nugraha, Sp.PD. This event was also witnessed by the leadership of FK Undiksha along with the teaching staff and hospital leadership.
Deputy Chancellor I Wayan Lasmawan said the clinical partnership was a stage in medical professional education or coast. He hopes that in the future professional doctors will be born. He asserted, this professionalism really depends on the quality of the process that goes through.
As emphasized by the Chancellor of Undiksha, these young doctors are expected to be able to use the opportunity and time at the hospital to teach themselves and practice their professional skills. The most important thing is that all of them obey and comply with the provisions that apply in the hospital. “Because that is one of the keys for someone to become a professional in the future,” he said.
Meanwhile, Arya Nugraha said the presence of this young doctor to undergo medical professional education could strengthen the legacy that Buleleng General Hospital is recognized as the main teaching hospital. “Before we had been a satellite teaching hospital for a long time from FK Udayana. But from us, it has entered the status of a main teaching hospital. This means that this is a proud moment for us for the Buleleng Hospital community,” he said.
The director from Kayuputih Village, Banjar District, Buleleng also gave a message to prospective doctors. It was stated that the profession of a doctor is still very respectable. Therefore it should not stop at the pride of the profile but fundamentally can be a public servant. “So pride is not because of the external form, but in essence, we become good public servants,” he said.
One of the young doctors, A. A. Ayu Lie Lhiannza Mahendra Putri, admitted that she was very enthusiastic about taking part in medical professional education because, in the end, she was able to put into practice the material she had learned in academic education. “Finally we can implement it directly, but still under the guidance of our consultants, then with the help of nurses, midwives, and all components of the hospital,” he said.
This handover event is very historic for FK Undiksha and is something to be proud of for the progress of medical education at Undiksha. This is because this is the first time Undiksha has handed over young doctors to the hospital to be able to take part in clinical partnership education. (hms)
