Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is expanding overseas collaboration to succeed in the internationalization at home program. Most recently, colalboration was established with Universite d’Angers, France. The signing of the cooperation took place at Undiksha Thursday (6/4/2023).
The signing was carried out directly by the Undiksha Rector, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd, and the representative of Universite d’Angers, Prof. Sylvine Pickel-Chevalier. On this occasion, Rector Jampel, accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., said that in 2019, Undiksha launched the Internationalization at Home program. This program is to make Undiksha a learning house for the international community. In addition, it also prepares space and opportunities for students and lecturers to take part in programs at foreign universities. Implementing this program is desired to be better, one of which is through increasing the quantity and quality of cooperation. “Of course we are very happy to be able to collaborate with Universite d’Angers,” he said.
This international collaboration was initiated for the Hospitality Study Program as a first step. In the future, it is expected to continue to grow according to the existing study programs. “We have a culinary arts study program. Hopefully, this can also be cooperated later,” he said.
This opportunity also discussed the forms of programs that can be implemented, such as internships, double degrees, etc. This cooperation received a positive response from the Universite d’Angers representative, Prof. Sylvine and is expected to be implemented well. (hms)
