Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is expanding cooperation with foreign universities to succeed in the international program. The latest cooperation was established with the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC), Philippines. The signing took place at the Undiksha Rectorate, Tuesday (14/2/2023).
The discussion of this cooperation was attended by Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. He, who represented the Rector, was accompanied by the Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Agency, I Made Windu Antara Kesiman, Ph.D., and his staff. The presence of HCDC was led by the President, Br. Noelvic H. Deloria. He was accompanied by several related officials.
In his speech, Rasben Dantes said that Undiksha, one of Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan, launched an internationalization program in 2019. Through this program, Undiksha is desired to become a learning house for the international community. Likewise, Undiksha lecturers and students can participate in foreign universities’ programs. Cooperation with HCDC is highly appreciated and considered one of the right steps to maximize the program’s implementation. “Through this collaboration, we hope that the implementation of international programs can be better and provide benefits for each university,” he said.
Further conveyed, currently, Undiksha has established cooperation with several foreign universities in ASEAN countries. The cooperation has been followed up with several programs, including student exchanges in Field Work, teaching practicum programs, and lecturer exchanges. “We hope that programs like this can be implemented with HCDC,” he hoped.
Appreciation was also conveyed by the President of HCDC, Noelvic Deloria. According to him, Undiksha and HCDC have similarities, from the vision of becoming a leading university and the study programs offered. Therefore, cooperation, especially in education and teaching, is considered appropriate. This year HCDC immediately opened up for the implementation of Field Work and teaching practicum programs.
Aside from the signing of the collaboration, the meeting was also coupled with a public lecture with resource persons Internship Coordinator, STE HCDC, Neil Bryan B. Booc, and Chair, CHATME Program HCDC, Ginalyn P. Yretarino. Hundreds of students attended this hybrid lecture. (hms)
