Singaraja- Dharma Women’s Association or Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (DWP Undiksha) was visited by Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) DWP, Friday (27/1/2023). This visit was in the context of silaturahmi or establishing a good friendship.
The presence of Unesa DWP was led directly by the Chairperson, Dra. Hj Endah Purnomowati Nurhasan, M.Pd., was received by the Chairperson of the Undiksha DWP Dra. Tien Sumartini Jampel, M.Pd., accompanied by the core management and members in the Undiksha Faculty of Medicine open hall.
The meeting was very warm and full of intimacy between the members. The meeting was filled with introducing division members in Unesa DWP and several programs that have been run, both by Unesa and Undiksha DWP. On this occasion, several activities that have been carried out by Undiksha DWP regularly were also displayed, such as religious activities, social services, and most recently, Undiksha Harmony Gymnastics, which was initiated by Mrs. Tien Sumartini at the end of 2022. The programs run by Unesa and Undiksha DWP are similar.
After the meeting, the Chairperson of Unesa DWP, Endah Purnomowati, appreciated the welcome given by Undiksha DWP. She explained this meeting was a form of friendship and a return visit because Undiksha had visited Unesa in August 2022. This meeting also strengthens the kinship between Unesa and Undiksha, which has been running for a long time. “So not only Unesanya residents have strong ties with Undiksha, but also Unesa and Undiksha DWP are like sisters,” he said.
On the other hand, the Chairperson of Undiksha DWP, Tien Sumartini, felt happy about the visit made by Unesa to Undiksha. The emotion made her shed happy tears because she was visited by Unesa, who was considered Undiksha’s best friend. “Even though I am difficult to cry but because my sisters from Unesa visited me, I felt very moved and happy,” she said.
Hopefully, this friendship will continue in the future even though she is no longer the Chairperson of Undiksha DWP. She will also be ready to collaborate with Unesa DWP in various programs. (hms)
