Singaraja- The kumbung matic innovation, created by Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) students, has once again won international achievements. This time at the International Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exhibition (IITEx) competition which took place in Malaysia from 24 to 27 May 2022. The work presented by Kadek Yuda Wiryanatha from the Electrical Engineering Education Study Programme, Luh Putu Restu Adi Utami from the English Education Masters Study Programme, Putu Pipit Pricellia Eka Putri from the Legal Studies Study Programme, and Kadek Reda Setiawan Suda who is also an Undiksha alumnus, won the gold medal.
This achievement was conveyed to the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Undiksha Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., Friday (6/3/2022). Yuda Wiryanatha said the competition was followed by teams from various countries, such as Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and others. “We are the team representative of Undiksha,” he said.
Regarding the work of matic kumbung, it is explained that it is an innovation in controlling the temperature and humidity of oyster mushrooms as a solution and innovation in agriculture. “Seeing the problems faced by oyster mushroom farmers, we are interested in making an innovation that can help farmers so that they can increase the income of the oyster mushroom farmers,” he explained.
The student, who has several times succeeded in participating in competitions at national and international levels, admitted that his interest in participating in the competition was, of course, because he saw the potential of the equipment he had. “Because we see the potential of the tool we have, we believe it can help mushroom farmers,” he said. This student from Ubud Gianyar admits that his success cannot be separated from the support of his supervisor Dr. Nyoman Santiyadnya, S.Si., M.T. “Of course, I am grateful and happy to be able to get the achievements,” he explained.
Vice-Rector, I Wayan Suastra expressed his appreciation for this achievement. “We appreciate the enthusiasm of students who are enthusiastic about participating in competitions, let alone being able to win,” he said. He hoped that this achievement could motivate other students to take part in the competition. “Achievements are not only important for the campus, but also for the students themselves,” he added.
