Singaraja– Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) was glanced at by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA) as a potential partner for organizing international events. This collaboration was confirmed by signing an MoU at the Undiksha Campus on Wednesday (12/1/2022).
The event was attended by the Chairperson of IYSA, Deni Irawan, and received by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd. On that occasion, Deni Irawan said that one of the international events he wanted to hold together as the International Science and Invention Fair. “This is the 4th event; it is indeed one of our biggest events,” he explained.
The selection of Undiksha as a partner was not without reason. He assessed that Undiksha is one of the most competitive universities in Indonesia and has won various national and international achievements and its location in Bali. “Incidentally, this is the 4th year we want to hold the event in Bali like the first year we held it in Denpasar. We chose Undiksha because we saw on the website, on YouTube that Undiksha is one of the TOP universities in Bali and even in Indonesia,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Suastra, appreciates IYSA’s trust in collaborating with Undiksha. He stated that Undiksha carried the vision of “Being a Superior University Based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy in Asia in 2045″. For this reason, the activities that should be participated in or organized are directed to the international level. “At least at the Asian level, that’s our target,” he said.
The Vice-Rector, who had served as Undiksha’s Postgraduate Director, hoped that this collaboration could run well and provide benefits for both parties, especially concerning education development, specifically innovation. (lpsy)
