Singaraja- Department of Law and Citizenship, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) celebrates its 4th anniversary. This momentum is used to awaken the spirit of togetherness and to improve quality.
This anniversary was celebrated on Saturday (15/10/2022) offline. Some activities, such as sports and cleaning up the campus environment were conducted. On the sidelines of these activities, the Head of the Department of Law and Citizenship, Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H.,LL.M., said this anniversary is very special because it can be held again after two years of being faced with the Covid-19 pandemic. The theme that is carried is our ocean, our legacy. The theme emphasizes that Indonesia has vast seas and must be protected by heirs. Protecting our seas requires togetherness. “This (sea) is wealth. We will reflect that through this anniversary. The committee will carry out clean-up activities, and so on,” he explained.
Togetherness is also expected to be built around the department. “The meaning is how we can maintain togetherness, a sense of kinship and a sense of belonging to the department of law and citizenship,” he said.
On this occasion, it was also emphasized anniversary is not just a routine. It is more important than that as a reflection and development of the department as well as a spirit generator to improve the department’s quality jointly through a strategic program framed in the Tri Dharma of higher education, namely Education and Teaching, Research and Community Service. “We want the department to be more competitive in the future and superior,” he said.
The Undiksha Department of Law and Citizenship experienced positive developments in its journey. Various achievements, both national and international, have been achieved by students. In addition, graduates can compete in their work and so on. “We hope that the achievements will continue to be improved. Likewise with the quality of graduates. We will continue to strive to get better,” concluded Dewa Mangku. (hms)
