Singaraja- The Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) Management Science Masters Study Program (Undiksha) is committed to producing graduates who are competitive and consistent to improve quality. This was emphasized in the celebration of the 2nd Anniversary (HUT) which was held at the Bulian Tourism Village, Kubutambahan District, Buleleng Regency, Monday (16/5/2022).
In order to produce graduates who are competitive, this excellent accredited study program strives to provide the best education and teaching services for students. The material provided is not only in the form of theory but also practice. In this case, study programs also often involve practicing lecturers. Not only that, students are also given experience through research and community service programs. This is one form of study program present in the community. “I really hope that students from the study program will become successful people and be able to apply the knowledge they gain and they can get good careers in their respective fields,” said Undiksha Master of Management Study Program Coordinator, Putu Indah Rahmawati, Ph.D.
This study program is also preparing for international accreditation whose visitation is scheduled for around June or July 2022. “Hopefully we will get internationally accredited branding. Because with international accreditation, we can automatically get an A accreditation score. If it’s an A, our quality can be compared to other universities in Indonesia and the world,” she said.
Strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, continued Indah Rahmawati, is also a serious concern. So far it has been consistently implemented. In the field of research, there are a number of programs involving students who have successfully passed the national and regional levels. “As for community service, it has been implemented well. One social project at Lokapaksa was won by students and they carried it out independently,” she said.
Especially for the anniversary celebration, filled with sharing sessions from the Chairperson of the Bulian Village Tourism Awareness Group, I Gede Suka Yarsa, and a successful farmer, I Wayan Kantra. Both conveyed the struggle to build a business and strategies to face challenges. The experiences conveyed are expected to be motivational and learning for students. Another activity that was carried out was praying at a number of temples, which at the same time was filled with communal shame.
The presence of the Undiksha Master of Management academic community in this old village was appreciated by Suka Yarsa. He hopes that Bulian Village with its extraordinary natural potential can also be promoted so that it can be better known by the public. He also hopes that this study program will be more advanced, more successful, and more victorious and able to contribute more to village development.
One of the students, Ni Made Susi Adnyani, also hopes that her study program will be more creative and able to produce quality graduates. “The impression of studying in this study program is very pleasant, according to my expectations. The lecturers are extraordinary, indeed competent, not only in terms of theory but also in practice,” she concluded. (hms)
