The 26th Anniversary of the Ganesha University of Education was not only solemn. But also got a sweet gift. Throughout 2018, 56 students from various study programs succeeded in winning championships at national and international competitions. Not only that, a number of lecturers also managed to receive commendations for postgraduate programs. As a form of appreciation, institutions give awards. It was handed over by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., and took place at the flag ceremony, on Tuesday (15/1/2019).
The student’s achievements include non-academic scientific and sports fields. Specifically for the scientific field, 29 students won. There are several types of competition, namely the National Student Business Idea Writing Competition at the Kalimantan Institute of Technology, the Management Education Fair (Manufair) at Jember State University, the Student Writing Competition and the Technology Innovation Festival at Hassannudin University in Makasar and an essay competition. Meanwhile, in the sports sector, some of them are the National Woodball Championship between Indonesian universities, the 21st Malaysia Woodball International Open Championship, and the Southeast Asian Karate Championship Yogyakarta. There is something interesting about this. There are students who get more than two achievements.
Especially for lecturers, there were 18 people who successfully completed postgraduate programs (Master’s and Master’s degrees), consisting of various study programs. There are accounting, medicine, linguistics, law, and agriculture. Regarding this achievement, Chancellor I Nyoman Jampel expressed his appreciation. It is hoped that this can improve the university’s grades, both at national and international levels. “We hope this can be a motivation for the academic community in building institutions. “For achievements, we encourage them to continue to appear,” he said.
