Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) achieved accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). Supporting this, the largest university in North Bali is also increasing the accreditation of study programs. This was conveyed by the Chancellor, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd, Sunday (24/2/2019).
The Chancellor from South Kuta, Badung Regency said that currently there are only four study programs that are accredited A, plus a library. It is planned that 20 study programs will undergo re-accreditation this year, all of which will still have B accreditation. Supporting this, various breakthroughs have been made, ranging from improving infrastructure to scientific publications. “In this case, we hope that we can get an A. Those who haven’t been re-accredited are also aiming for an A,” he said.
Furthermore, for study programs that have been accredited A, they are also encouraged to take the initiative from now on to take part in university networking Asia accreditation. “We have planned this this year for mathematics and physical education, health and recreation study programs. 2020 geography and history study program. “This is very possible,” he explained.
This accreditation is not only to improve the university’s grade but also to realize the ideals that have been mutually agreed upon as stated in the vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia by 2045. “So as chancellor, with A accreditation, I am sure to achieve that vision before 2045. Because in fact, the support for excellence in Asia has already happened this year. “This means that the percentage is quite high, for example from institutional governance, student achievement, human resources, curriculum changes, funding, and results from lecturers, namely research and numerous publications,” he said.
