The Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) Quality Assurance Center (PJM) carried out the 2018 Academic Internal Quality Evaluation and Audit (AMI) in the Ganesha II Rectorate Room, on Wednesday (19/12/2018). The activity, which started at 09.00 WITA, was attended by Deputy Chancellor I, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, M.Si, and Deputy Chancellor III, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Pujawan, M.Kes.
PJM Secretary, Dr. Made Agus Dharma, S.Pd., M.Pd said that this activity is very important to carry out to get input from various parties and follow up so that in the future the implementation of activities related to quality assurance will be better. “This is very important to get input which is then followed up. “We hope that at this meeting there will be input coming from the heads of study programs found in the field regarding visitation activities,” he said.
Furthermore, he stated that specifically for AMI, there needs to be a new formula and special standards created, both for universities and faculties and study programs. Currently, this is still based on forms. “Every implementation must have weaknesses. “Therefore, input and follow-up are needed so that the Higher Education Tri Dharma program gets better,” he said.
Chief Executive of AMI Academic 2018, Dr. Gusti Lanang Agung Parwata, M.Kes, conveyed that in 2018, the internal academic quality audit assessment still used BAN-PT standards so the assessment was still quantitative in nature and did not provide optimal input for study programs within Undiksha. In 2019, the assessment will be carried out qualitatively. “In 2019, AMI preparations will be carried out even earlier by developing its own instruments that are adapted to Undiksha’s characteristics,” he said. This was also confirmed by Secretary I of PJM, Dr. Ketut Agustini, S.Si., M.Sc. In this case, 40 auditors were deployed, who audited 42 study programs. Meanwhile, the Vice-Rector asked that this audit assessment be improved in the hope of making the university superior. (hms)
