Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha is committed to providing equal access to education for all, particularly for individuals from underrepresented and potentially underrepresented groups. One key example is the university’s focus on students from low-income families. Through a data-driven approach, Undiksha collects, analyzes, and reports on the diversity of applicants and enrolled students. This enables the university to identify any disparities or gaps in the admissions process, allowing for the implementation of targeted measures to promote inclusivity.
By tracking these groups, the university can establish outreach initiatives, scholarship programs (e.g. Ganesha Scholarship a scholarship provided by Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha), and support services designed to ensure that all qualified students, regardless of their economic background, have the opportunity to pursue higher education. The collected data also serves as a valuable tool for continuously assessing and improving university policies aimed at fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within all academic programs.

Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment by actively recruiting students, staff, and faculty from underrepresented groups. The university follows the recruitment procedures established by the Ministry of Education, aligning with national policies that promote equality and inclusivity in higher education.
One key initiative is the university's focus on ensuring equal opportunities for individuals from underrepresented groups, including people with disabilities and low-income students. By creating recruitment opportunities for these groups, Undiksha aims to break down barriers and provide access to higher education and professional opportunities.
The university’s recruitment strategies include targeted outreach programs, awareness campaigns, and collaborations with community organizations to identify and engage potential applicants from these groups. Scholarships, mentorship programs, and tailored support services are also offered to students from underrepresented backgrounds to ensure they have the resources needed to succeed academically and socially.
For staff and faculty, Undiksha also implements inclusive hiring practices to attract diverse talent. This includes actively fostering a welcoming and supportive environment where diversity is celebrated. By emphasizing inclusivity in the workplace, the university works to create balanced representation across all levels of its academic and administrative teams.
Through these actions, Undiksha ensures that students, staff, and faculty from all backgrounds have the opportunity to contribute to and benefit from the university’s academic community, fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) is committed to fostering a fair, inclusive, and diverse academic environment by integrating the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its strategic programs. As part of this commitment, Reducing Inequality has been established as one of the central focuses of the university’s SDG initiatives. The university has developed and implemented a comprehensive anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policy that actively promotes equality and addresses various forms of discrimination and harassment within the campus community.
Key Elements of the Anti-Discrimination Policy:
- Appointment of a Diversity Officer: Undiksha has appointed I Gede Arjana, S.Pd., M.Sc. RTWH as the Diversity Officer (click here for more information). This role is critical in ensuring that diversity is promoted and maintained within the university. The Diversity Officer is responsible for creating and implementing policies and programs that foster an inclusive environment, ensuring that all students, staff, and faculty, regardless of their background, feel welcomed and supported.
- Establishing a Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS): To address and prevent sexual violence within the university community, Undiksha has established the PPKS (Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence). This task force is dedicated to responding swiftly and effectively to incidents of sexual violence, providing support for victims, and raising awareness across the university. The PPKS also plays a key role in educating the community about sexual violence prevention and the available resources for those affected.
- Prohibition of Discrimination and Harassment: The university enforces a strict policy against all forms of discrimination and harassment, including but not limited to race, gender, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Discriminatory behavior or harassment in any form is not tolerated, and appropriate actions are taken against those found violating this policy. The university is committed to ensuring that all members of its community are treated with respect, dignity, and fairness.
- Protection for Individuals Reporting Discrimination or Harassment: To ensure a safe and supportive environment, Undiksha provides a confidential and secure space for individuals to report incidents of discrimination or harassment without fear of retaliation. The university ensures that individuals who come forward with complaints are protected from any form of disadvantage, whether academic, professional, or personal. This measure is designed to encourage those affected by discrimination or harassment to report incidents and seek support.
- Access for Students with Disabilities: Undiksha is dedicated to providing equal opportunities for all students, including those with disabilities. The university actively works to improve academic qualifications for students with disabilities by offering accessible facilities, assistive technologies, and tailored support services. These efforts ensure that students with disabilities have the necessary resources to fully engage in their studies and succeed academically. The university continuously strives to enhance accessibility and remove barriers that could hinder students with disabilities from reaching their full potential.

At Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha), we are committed to ensuring that students with disabilities have equal opportunities to succeed and thrive in their academic journey. To achieve this, the university has developed support specifically tailored to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. Our approach focuses on providing both academic and non-academic support, ensuring that every student has the resources they need to participate fully in university life.
One such support is Financial Assistance for Economically Disadvantaged Students: (Access the policy document here) In addition to academic accommodations, Undiksha recognizes the financial barriers that students with disabilities may face. To address this, the university offers financial assistance specifically for economically disadvantaged students with disabilities. This support can cover tuition fees, assistive devices, transportation, and other necessary expenses, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent students from accessing higher education.
Another support is Accessible Facilities and Campus Infrastructure: The university is dedicated to providing an inclusive and accessible campus environment. This includes wheelchair-accessible buildings, ramps, elevators, and designated spaces for students with disabilities. Furthermore, we continuously assess and improve our physical infrastructure to ensure it meets the needs of all students, creating a barrier-free environment for learning and participation in extracurricular activities
