Singaraja – Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continued to encourage students to take part in the Holistic Village Development and Empowerment Program (Program Holistik Pembinaan dan Pemberdayaan Desa/PHP2D) in 2021. A webinar was held in order to strengthen knowledge related to programs that were in line with the policies of MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka), Thursday (18/3 / 2021).
This webinar presented the staff of the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Alamul Huda, S.Si., and the Expert Team of the Directorate of Learning of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Dr. Parmin as a guest speaker. Vice-Rector III Undiksha for Student, Alumni and Public Relations Affairs, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., said that this program was in line with the policy of MBKM because its implementation could be used as Semester Credit Unit. He said, “It can be equated later with MBKM credit. It must be two semesters off campus. It is not easy to find activities that can be converted into this credi”..
He further stated that this program was also determined as a competition to be funded by the central government. Therefore, students were asked to really understand the technical instructions in preparing the proposal. He stated, “Since, it is a very tight competition, if the proposal program is not suitable, they will fail in the early stages. I hope you will participate in this activity well and pay attention to what the speakers say.”
The activities proposed in this annual program must also provide benefits, be able to solve problems that ensnare the villagers. According to him, one of the things that deserves to be raised was the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic impacts. This pandemic had triggered a downturn, of human life in the world, especially the economic sector. Suastra concluded, “Bali is currently in poor condition. It needs help to solve the problem via PHP2D. The central government has rolled out various programs to bring Bali back to a normal life. Therefore, through PHP2D, Undiksha can contribute”. (PR)
