Karangasem – One of the missions by the Student Activity Unit of Student Regiment (UKM Menwa) Ugracena Bali Battalion B-920/Jayastambha Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is caring for others. This mission was actualized through the Community Outreach program entitled “Iftar, Undiksha Share and Care”. This activity took place in Dusun Lebah Sari, Bungaya Village, Bebandem District, Karangasem Regency, Saturday (8/5/2021).
This Iftar with Dusun Lebah Sari society took place at the At-Taubah Lebah Sari Mosque and were attended by the society from various backgrounds, from children to the elderly. At that time also distributed basic needs for the elderly, worship equipments to orphans, and handed over the medical protocol equipment for the mosque. This activity was a collaboration with the “Sister for Charity” community, which consisted of students from the Netherlands, Indonesia and Belgium.
This program was attended by the Supervisor I UKM Menwa, Putu Gede Parma, S.St.Par., M.Par, Supervisor II UKM Menwa, Arief Billah, S.Pd, Bungaya Village leaders, the Commander of the Student Regiment of Ugracena Bali Battalion B-920/Jayastambha Undiksha.
Gede Parma conveyed that the implementation of this social activity was a form of Tridharma of Higher Education implementation in terms of community service and the implementation of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in terms of pawongan, namely harmonious relations between people.
Previously, in the same village, UKM Menwa Undiksha had also carried out activities, such as: repairing Badminton Field, manufactur ing the flag poles, distribut ing the basic needs, distributing masker and face shield, joint gym and introducting the state defense materials for elementary school students.
